Made in Italy tailoring

It is difficult to define fashion. Coco Chanel said that “fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street. Fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”

But one thing is certain: Italy has always been a point of reference for the world of fashion along with the much celebrated “Made in Italy”. Fashion represents, along with food and wine, a pillar of the Italian image internationally.

sartoria-5s

The designers and the Italian tailors produce wonderful clothes and exquisite accessories, real objects of desire, made with a unique knowledge, taste and style that set the standard and are part of the collective imagination.

Think of Florence, home of elegance since the Middle Ages. Here, prestigious tailors today make fine tailored suits and magnificent embroidery with flawless workmanship, as is also true in Milan, the extraordinarily glamorous undisputed international fashion capital. In its refined tailoring ateliers and in its bespoke shirt workshops, skilful hands continue the task of the ‘master tailors’: perfect cuts, exclusive fabrics and unique detailing. There are also the famous tailors for women, salons of Milanese good taste, and the precious embroidery ateliers for Haute Couture, the real “Made in Milan”.

Naples, with its historic ‘made-to-measure’ art, made up of classical elegance and taste, has become synonymous with a unique style, which has made the Neapolitan men’s tailors famous and sought after worldwide.

These are the centres of excellence of a tradition that nevertheless concerns the whole country, a precious knowledge that is spread throughout the peninsula: exceptional shirt workshops can be found in Abruzzo and in Puglia, tailors of undisputed repute in Rome and in Palermo, often part of a traditional family business, capable of creating clothes that are made with great attention to detail and that reflect the personality of the customer and enhance their figure. Impeccable garments of great taste made for connoisseurs of beauty.
