The call 2023/2024 of “Una Scuola, un Lavoro” is online

The call for tenders for the project “Una Scuola, un Lavoro. Percorsi di Eccellenza” for the 2023/2024 edition: the collection of applications will open on Monday 4 September and will close on Friday 29 September 2023. All information is available on unascuolaunlavoro.it. “Are the Crafts of Art in danger? There are those who say it, but it is only partially true. The Craftsmanship runs through the entire history of humanity and as long as there will be human beings this so-called minor art, which gives us artifacts destined to be timeless, will continue to represent the beautiful, better still the excellence of the beautiful”, says the president Franco Cologni. "Virtuous rarities: treasures to defend": with this theme, the Cologni Foundation wants to offer young people the opportunity to enter artisan ateliers of particularly significant cultural and social value, as custodians of historical knowledge that risks oblivion over the course of of the next generation, and at the same time it wants to offer these companies of excellence the opportunity to get to know a possible heir to whom, one day, they will pass the baton of their know-how. Schools located throughout Italy, such as Universities, Vocational Training Centres, Academies of Fine Arts, ITS and IFTS, Artistic High Schools, Higher Education Schools and private training bodies operating in the field of artistic craftsmanship, are called to identify the best new-qualified, high-school graduates or recent graduates to apply for the Project together with a shop, laboratory, atelier or artisan company located throughout the country, and willing to host candidates for this important training experience. A "Mini Master", with classroom courses organized by the most prestigious schools and universities in Milan, will be offered free of charge to all selected students. The subsequent six-month experience in the workshop will be financed by the Cologni Foundation, which will pay each trainee a monthly allowance of €800, without charges for the atelier. This project is made possible thanks to the invaluable support of its main partners the Costa Crociere Foundation, the Bracco and Cartier Foundation and the hospitality partner Starhotels.
