On the occasion of the 2024 edition of Salone del Mobile, Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte is pleased to present the eighth edition of "Doppia Firma. A dialogue between design and artisanal excellence" a project developed with Living, the interiors, design and lifestyle magazine of Corriere della Sera, under the patronage of the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship. With the support of Serapian, the event will take place at Villa Mozart, a refined 1930s building in the heart of Milan. It will be open to the public from Tuesday, April 16 to Sunday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The focus is the collaboration between important international designers and some of the best master artisans of the "Great Milan": not only the world capital of design, fashion and art, but also the cradle of artistic crafts and applied arts. In fact, Milan has historically been home to important craft activities. In particular, the city has reached in history and maintains today very high levels in the manufacture of silver, wood, leather, upholstery, metals, glass, ceramics... all sectors happily represented by the master artisans of excellence called to collaborate in Doppia Firma 2024 with some stars of contemporary design. An enhancement of creativity through urban high manufacturing, expressed in fifteen iconic objects created ad hoc for Doppia Firma. Villa Mozart will also host two other eagerly awaited exhibits for the "Arts & Crafts & Design" cycle: Creative Academy, corporate design school of the Richemont Group, will present "Secret Garden" and Bonacina 1889, a historic company from Lurago d'Erba that specialises in rattan processing, will be present with the installation "Intrecci italiani".
