Lino Tagliapietra’s 75-year-long career has been lived out at the gallery-museum in Murano where he was born and raised. He trained at several of the island’s furnaces, going from apprentice to master at the age of twenty-one to becoming one of the best-known glass artists of our time, working between Venice and Seattle, popular all over the world. Showcased inside are many of the works that have made him famous, from the iconic Dinosaurs to the Masai and Endeavor installations. Tagliapietra is a versatile and eclectic artist, an experimenter, a master of glass-making technique and colour. The gallery’s design and architecture make this exhibition space unique, often featured in specialist interior design magazines. A setting worthy of the masterworks it houses.
