Chinese ceramics, for the most part monochrome, created over a period of five centuries, during the Song and the Yuan dynasties, and representing the highest degree of formal and technological refinement of Oriental ceramics, are currently being presented at the MAO in Turin. The extraordinary smelting process generates objects that have become icons of an ideal of absolute beauty. Among the objects on display there is also a ceramic object restored with the Japanese technique, adopted in China, of kintsugi, which used gold to repair cracks and gaps, creating unique works in which a flaw becomes an unrepeatable asset.
