Preservation of artisans’ precious know-how, encouraging communication with designers, promotion of their visibility to offer new job opportunities: these are the goals that the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship strives to achieve. Founded in Geneva by South-African entrepreneur Johann Rupert and by Franco Cologni, the president of Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte, Michelangelo Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to create an international cultural movement by promoting the values of craftsmanship and creativity. Officially introduced in early November in Milan, Michelangelo Foundation is already working on the development of a network which establishes relations between various international institutions that deal with craftwork. www.michelangelofoundation.org
