The exhibition, curated by Gian Luca Bauzano, after Mirabilia, Vitrea and Fittile, is the fourth in the cycle "Mestieri d'Arte. Crafts Culture", born from the collaboration between Triennale Milano and Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte. The exhibition aims to narrate and stage the work of Roberto Capucci, one of the greatest protagonists of Italian fashion, with a look that will allow us to get to know the Capucci researcher of forms and materials: bamboo, plastic polymers, natural stones... surprising but no less iconic creations that tell a personal and original path between design, research, art and craft. A unique creative history: from art to the highest craftsmanship, in over seventy years of uninterrupted activity, the Maestro's entire career is emblematic of a savoir faire of absolute exception. Even today, his creativity is expressed vividly and full of visionary suggestions, especially in the designs of great charm and beauty, which fully testify to Capucci's passion for shapes, colors, materials, for art and nature, his sources of continuous inspiration. In dialogue with the Maestro's precious clothes is a collection of genuine ceramic sculptures created by Manifattura Rometti, which has been active since 1927 in Umbertide, in the province of Perugia, and has always collaborated with great names in international design. A forge for experimentation still available to young artists, thanks to the commitment of owner Massimo Monini and artistic director Jean Christophe Clair. Metaphors in fabric and ceramics that come together in a unique and suggestive dance, where colors, shapes, lines and volumes weave an absolutely new and special dialogue. www.metaforemilano.it
