Feel the Yarn is the competition for aspiring designers from the world’s most prestigious fashion schools and aimed at supporting talented people in the knitwear field. This year’s competition, whose theme is Knitting Time, will be attended by 26 students coming from 13 major international fashion and design schools, and by 22 Italian yarn mills, coordinated by Consorzio Promozione Filati and taking part in Pitti Filati- from June 29 to July 1, 2016- to introduce their Fall/Winter 2017-18 collections. Feel the Yarn is the result of the “Programma Speciale Fiere Pitti Immagine 2016”, promoted by Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana and carried out with the contribution of MISE and Agenzia ICE within the project that supports Italian trade shows and “Made In Italy” products.
