“Fatti ad Arte”: 7th edition kicks off

From Oct. 6 to 8, 2023 back, in the halls of the historic mansions of Palazzo Ferrero and Palazzo La Marmora in Biella Piazzo, the seventh edition of "Fatti ad Arte," the event dedicated to high craftsmanship and art professions, was held. Included in the programming of Woolscape, a project born from the collaboration of three Biella realities, DocBi, City of Art Foundation and Fatti ad Arte Association, the event is organized by the Association of the same name and promoted by the two trade associations Confartigianato Biella and CNA Biella and in collaboration with ADSI-Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane. A very rich edition, a fascinating journey from the north to the south of Italy that follows the most authentic expressions of the artisan craft, of that know-how that speaks of territories, gestures, but above all of people. Filigree masters, jewelry that is the result of the fusion of design and goldsmithing, 100% natural perfumes and fragrances, silk velvets that become clothes, bags made from vegetable-tanned leather, home furnishing artifacts, lamps and artistic stained glass windows, skillfully woven wire works, high cabinet making artifacts, pictorial and wooden restoration: Fatti ad Arte is a precious treasure chest that shows us its handcrafted treasures! As part of the exhibition itinerary highlighting the great master craftsmen who have spread the value of high Italian craftsmanship around the world, Fatti ad Arte hosted Lucio Bubacco's exhibition "The Light Breath of Glass": an undisputed master of the lampwork glass technique, his large sculptures worked hot and tempered during the process are unique in the panorama of Murano art glass. Along with the event, the exhibition of Iranian artist Elham Aghili also ended on Sunday, October 8, which is part of the "Interweaving of Existence" exhibition dedicated by Fatti ad Arte to artists who use fibers as their material of choice. Also guests of Fatti ad Arte were the two CosMonique artisans, winners of the 2023 Artisan of the Heart Competition, promoted by Wellmade with Fondazione Cologni, partners of Fatti ad Arte. Costanza Macrì and Monica Candido, Milan-based goldsmiths who own CosMonique, displayed their creations in the Salone del Camino at the entrance to Palazzo la Marmora.
