The 37th edition of Effetto Venezia (Aug. 3-7) is set in Livorno's La Venezia neighborhood. The striking architectural complex of the Magazzini del Palazzo del Monte di Pietà houses the 6th edition of "Artigianato a Effetto," which hosts 14 artisans, mainly from the Livorno area, active in various fields such as props, wigs, leather masks, clogs, jewelry, accessories, glass, and wood, interpreted in current terms with the intention of keeping local identity solid. There are art workshops, for adults with the making of leather masks and one for children, a small fish composed of woven papyrus. Various art installations, theatrical performances, the fantasy of street artists and two exhibitions: The Most Beautiful in the World, dedicated to the Italian Navy's sailing school ship Amerigo Vespucci, and The Game of Nature, an interactive itinerary with works of art as well as guided tours. The edition is promoted by the Livorno Foundation under the patronage of OMA - Osservatorio dei Mestieri d'Arte (OMA), an instrumental entity of Fondazione CR Firenze that promotes the protection of the historical and artistic heritage of the artistic professions. www.livorno-effettovenezia.it
