It is hard not to find him intent on creating one of his wonderful works of art at his workshop/museum in Murano. Today, just like in 1971, when he was barely fourteen years old and created his first works inspired mostly by classical art, Greek-Roman and Byzantine art, medieval and Renaissance theatre and Commedia dell’Arte. His technical experience and knowledge of colour compatibility and of the nature of glass allow him to create unique works, in a very personal and fascinating style, with figures appearing out of nowhere, through metamorphosis and transformations, entirely shaped by hand and incorporated into blown glass or castings, as well as large-scale vertical sculptures.
