Cesare Toffolo Glass Master

The art of glass-making is truly in Cesare Toffolo’s DNA. Born in Murano into a family of master glassmakers, he learned the secrets of glassblowing as a child. At the age of twenty-one, he had his first public exhibition at Venice’s  Palazzo Cà Vendramin Calergi and, for several decades now, he has been considered to be one of the world’s greatest glassmakers. His works, created in a building on the historic Fondamenta dei Vetrai, are showcased in many museums and are part of prestigious private collections. For thirty years, he has been teaching and giving conferences at the world’s major glass schools, from Seattle’s Pilchuck Glass School to the Niijima Glass Art Center in Tokyo.
