EventsThe Carlo Scarpa. Glass and drawings 1925-1931 exhibition presents, until the end of March 2020, about 70 works and 50 glass drawings conceived by the Venetian architect for the Vetreria Maestri Vetrai Muranesi (M.V.M.) Cappellin & C. between 1925 and 1931. The glass, most of which is kept in private collections, highlights the figure of the Venetian designer who was a keen connoisseur of the history of Murano glass and experimenter of new solutions, where the shape enhances the colour and the colour becomes an integral part of the structure. The graphic and photographic documentation relating to the Cappellinè glassworks is kept at the Carlo Scarpa Archive in Verona. On the occasion of this exhibition, showcases were used and specially restored, which were designed by Scarpa in 1960 for one of the first exhibitions dedicated to Venetian glass in the 19th-9th century.
