Wellmade participates in Bergamo Brescia Capital of Culture 2023

"Discovering Italian savoir-faire and artistic craftsmanship", Wellmade's itinerary among the artisan workshops in the centre of Bergamo, scheduled for Saturday 28 January from 10 a.m. to about 5 p.m., is part of the programme "La città in festa", the inaugural days of Bergamo Brescia Capitale Italiana della Cultura, coordinated by the Department of Culture with the organisational support of Teatro Tascabile and realised thanks to the sponsorship of the Bergamo Brescia 2023 Committee. Wellmade, the Fondazione Cologni's digital platform, proposes this itinerary to discover the craft workshops in the city centre. From goldsmithing to ceramics, from violin-making to mosaics, from tailoring to metal restoration and cabinet-making: a widespread event that becomes an opportunity for discovery, knowledge and exchange. The visit is free and participants include Officina Orafa di Brunella Sola (via Santa Caterina 23/A), Ca' Alta Camiceria su misura (via Pignolo 42), Claylab Luca Pedone (vicolo Anghinelli Luigi 14), Liuteria di Silvia Zanchi (via Martinella 25) and Amore&Colore (via Luigi Tadini). We also recommend extending your visit to the immediate vicinity of Bergamo, where you can find the excellent Santhomè (artistic stained glass, via Arturo Toscanini 3, Stezzano), Vasko Sotirov's cabinet-making workshop (Via Alpini 100, Urgnano), the Bice&Berta knitwear factory (Via Santa Margherita 19, Torre Boldone), the Elena Plebani ceramic workshop (Via San Francesco 64, Cividino di Castelli Calepio) and the Colasante artistic carpentry workshop (Via Lera 7, Val Brembilla). The initiative is open to everyone, mainly adults, but also children and schools: it is possible to go to the ateliers independently to meet the master craftsmen, admire their products and learn the secrets of their work. www.well-made.it  www.bergamobrescia2023.it
