One of the most prestigious collections preserved in the historical archives of Prato’s Museo del tessuto [Textile Museum]. The collection is that of Countess Antonia Suardi, a noblewoman who was one of the main supporters of the Italian feminine industries (1903) and was involved in the research and study of the arts of embroidery and lace. In addition to the collection, documentary material is on display, such as original photos of embroidered artefacts, the account books of the school and a manuscript with drawings and embroidery dating back to 1570.
