The third edition of the La Grande Bellezza Award

The third edition of the "La Grande Bellezza" Award, promoted by Starhotels in collaboration with Associazione OMA, Fondazione Cologni and Guppo Editoriale, invites artisans resident and regularly operating in Italy to apply to submit works on the theme "Souvenirs of the Grand Tour." Italy has historically been a favorite destination of the Grand Tour and continues to be the dream destination of tourists from all over the world because of its beauty and inimitable lifestyle. Those who visit it fall in love with its places and want to take with them objects that keep memories alive and bear witness to the journey. The theme of the signature object-souvenir is also of great interest and fascination today in the world of design and planning. Many Italian artisan workshops of excellence make object-souvenirs by drawing inspiration from local traditions and reinterpreting them in contemporary ways and taste. Any technique and any material are allowed, as long as the workmanship is strictly manual or mostly manual, according to the criteria and methods of artisan excellence, and the theme is respected, albeit interpreted in a free and personal way. A special jury composed of highly influential names and chaired by Starhotels will identify the 10 finalist works and the winner, who will receive a cash prize of 10,000 euros.
