EventsIn Lecce, a group of 18 women who are neophytes and interested in learning the traditional artistic technique of "bow" on a loom, in the weaving workshop located in the Ex Conservatorio Sant'Anna in Piazzetta delle Giravolte, has started a course coordinated by three young expert designers and weavers to rediscover and deepen the ancient technique of Salento tradition with the aim of safeguarding it but also creating new activities, in step with market needs, attentive to the problems of the textile supply chain, from raw materials to natural dyes, with the aim of offering job opportunities especially for women and social integration. Stories of redemption for each of the 18 women who come from different labor sectors and who in the context of a craft workshop are dedicated to manual labor. The project "Texil Design Social Lab - Mani che si intrecciano," is implemented by Mediterranea, Association for Local Development, supported by the Call for Crafts promoted by Fondazione con il Sud in collaboration with OMA - Associazione Osservatorio dei Mestieri d'Arte.
