The masterpieces of Venetian maestri d’arte at the Splendid Venice – Starhotels Collection

On the occasion of the important event “Homo Faber: Crafting a more human future,” promoted in Venice by the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship, Starhotels, in continuing its “The Great Beauty” project, has organized at the Splendid Venice - Starhotels Collection hotel, symbol of the most exclusive hospitality, a refined exhibition of works by several Venetian maestri d’arte, becoming a treasure trove of the finest Italian craftsmanship. The elegant halls of the Splendid Venice, a dream dwelling between Rialto and San Marco, have thus become an evocative setting for an exhibition presenting “the great beauty” with a careful selection of works created by important names of Venetian craftsmanship, previously celebrated by the “Venetian Way” photographic exhibition at “Homo Faber” on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore. These are the "magnificent eight" chosen by Starhotels with the advice and support of the Cologni Foundation for the Métiers d'Art, partner of “Homo Faber”: Bruno Barbon (woodcarving); Sergio Boldrin (masks, La Bottega dei Mascareri); Gianpaolo Fallani (artistic prints); Carlo Semenzato (Fonderia d’arte Valese); Emanuele Bevilacqua (Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua); Stefano Nicolao (theatrical tailoring); Lucia Costantini (Burano lace); Andrea Zilio (Murano glass, Vetreria Anfora).
