Until 30 September, in the evocative setting of the former Convent of the Capuchins of Grottaglie (Province of Taranto), it is possible to visit the exhibition TERRA identità, luogo, materia (EARTH identity, place, material), realized for the 2018 Ceramics Exhibition. The 46 works from all over the world explore the art of ceramics, a material used in Grottaglie since ancient times: clay that becomes terracotta, an object of fine craftsmanship and an expression of proud identity. A city with an entire district dedicated exclusively to the production of ceramics, Grottaglie is included in the list of the 37 Italian “Towns of Ceramics.” With this event, founded in 1971, it wishes to pay tribute to the many "intelligent hands" that animate its territory.
An exhibition celebrating the prestigious milestone reached by the Murano glassworks Nason Moretti, which was started in 1923, is underway at the Murano Glass Museum.
