The exhibition dedicated to Roberto Capucci, undisputed master of Italian fashion, is on display at the Labirinto della Masone in Fontanellato, near Parma, which, after widespread critical and public acclaim, has been extended until April 16. Capucci's dresses, true sculptures, are distinguished by their sculptural grandeur combined with refined, often unusual color choices of silk that emphasize soft volumes or, conversely, the geometric dryness of the lines. The dresses surround and shape the figure, hence the evocative title "Silky Armor," to indicate how the slipperiness of silk is transformed, almost magically, into an enveloping structure, sometimes combined with other materials that evoke natural elements. The charm of the dresses designed by Roberto Capucci dialogues with the works of the Franco Maria Ricci collection, giving rise to an artistic harmony that recalls both epic figures of classical mythology, capable of unexpected transformations, and the slow and solemn gait of the ladies of Renaissance processions. through april 16, 2023 Roberto Capucci.
