Matteo Pugliese. Spiriti ostinati

The exhibition, titled Obstinate Spirits, explores the Milanese artist’s most recent creative season through 35 works of the Extra Moenia, Custodi and Scarabei series. Some marble and blown glass works are shown for the first time and the big-sized, over six-meter-high sculpture Die Mauer is displayed at the entrance to the Versiliana Park. The exhibition, held inside La Versiliana Villa, which was home to Gabriele D’Annunzio in the early 1900s, and throughout the park, was presented by Philippe Daverio and is curated by Imago Art Gallery of Lugano, with the artistic coordination of Fondazione Versiliana, within the S.T.ART (Save Tourism & Art)  project promoted by the Town of Pietrasanta.
