EventsManifesta 12 is the Nomadic Biennial of contemporary art and culture, on view in various locations in Palermo, Italian Capital of Culture 2018, where 50 artists exhibit their works. The Sicilian capital comes alive with exhibitions, installations, videos and performances, urban interventions and projects linked to the event’s theme, "The Planetary Garden. Cultivating Coexistence". Three sections: "Garden of Flows", which explores botany in relation to the planet's resources; "Out of Control Room", which aims to restore tangibility in the digital age and "City on Stage", which sets out to embrace the stratified nature of Palermo and understand its contemporary life. The exhibition venues are iconic places in the city, but also new spaces: a moment for re-experiencing the city of Palermo in all its beauty and charm.
