EventsIn 2016, the Loewe Foundation launched the Loewe Craft Prize, an international yearly prize that rewards excellence in the field of artistic crafts. Through the recognition and support of artisan manufacturing, which reinterprets tradition by using the craftsman’s personal language and skill, Loewe Foundation highlights the ongoing contribution that artistic crafts make to contemporary culture. All the finalists, chosen by a group of experts, will take part in an exhibition held in Madrid and in other cities across Europe, Asia and the US and will appear on the Loewe Craft Prize 2017 catalogue. The competition is open to both individuals and groups. All applications- including photos of the work, a project abstract and a short video (optional)- should be submitted within November 7, 2016.
