Hidetoshi Nagasawa, Sotto il cielo e sopra la terra, an exhibition curated by Anna Imponente

Currently on view in Naples, the exhibition Hidetoshi Nagasawa.Sotto il cielo e sopra la terra, is curated by Anna Imponente, director of the Polo museale della Campania, and realized with Paolo Mascilli Migliorini, director of Palazzo Reale, in collaboration with the Fondazione CAMUSAC-Cassino Museo D'Arte Contemporanea of Cassino directed by Bruno Corà, with the precious contribution of Ryoma Nagasawa. After last year's installation by Uemon Ikeda, who with his fragile red thread created an aerial structure that enveloped the building, Palazzo Reale once again encounters Oriental art with an exhibition dedicated to the great Japanese artist Hidetoshi Nagasawa (Tonei, Manchuria, 1940 - Ponderano, Biella, 2018) open until 10 March. One of the most renowned sculptors on the international scene, the artist arrived in Italy at the age of 27 and spent the rest of his life here. Also on display is a selection of graphic works in charcoal and wax that configure galaxies and landscapes and echo the idea of a delimited and closed space typical of oriental gardens.
