EventsThe "Altare Vetro Design" exhibition at the Fornace Alba Docilia in Albissola Marina presents the works of artists, designers and architects who participated in the previous seven editions held at the Museo dell'Arte Vetraria Altarese (MAV) promoted by the Istituto per lo Studio del Vetro e dell'Arte Vetraria (ISVAV) in Altare. Its objective was to create objects of common use in small series, or even curious and unusual gadgets made using colorless glass - which distinguishes the local production - or strongly contrasting colors. The designs have been entrusted to the expertise of the most skilled master glassmakers of this town in the Savona hinterland boasting a thousand-year tradition in glassworking. The exhibition is an opportunity for the encounter of design and construction in a dialogue between the most advanced experimentation and ancient manual tradition.
