On the occasion of the presentation of the programme for Elefsina European Capital of Culture 2023, the Greek Deputy Minister of Culture, Nicholas Yatromanolakis, mentions: 'We want to do something similar to the Italian projects of DoppiaFirma and Homo Faber, opening a hub. Among the many opportunities for the cultural, but also economic and social revival of Greece, there is in fact the revaluation of handicrafts, which in Elefsina is very relevant thanks to the strong presence of foreigners who enrich the creative scene with their local traditions, from chocolate to honey to wine. The two international projects Homo Faber and Doppia Firma, which see the energies of the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte and the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship united in the pursuit of craftsmanship of excellence, are true paradigms of the revaluation of know-how and a source of inspiration.
