On the occasion of the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship is pleased to present the fifth edition of Doppia Firma. Dialogues between design thinking and high craftsmanship, a project of Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte and Living, the interiors, design and lifestyle magazine of Corriere della Sera. Doppia Firma is a project that enhances the union between the innovation of design and the tradition of the great masters of art. The aim is to show a unique collection, made up of original works, the result of the creative exchange between a designer or an artist and a craftsman, a small manufacturing company of excellence, or a company with an artisan heart: works that are born from the mutual fertilization between a design culture open to contemporaneity and a know-how that is an authentic expression of the territory. The new 2021 edition, dedicated to the theme of the garden and the outdoors, enhances the dialogue between international creativity and high Italian manufacturing. The designers involved come from different European countries, while the master craftsmen are all Italian. Thanks to the expertise of the partners in the domains of design and high craftsmanship, 12 extraordinary creative partnerships have been promoted. Designers and artisans met and shared a common path, between ideas and know-how, with mutual respect and search for a deep and fertile harmony. In the name of excellence. www.doppiafirma.com
