During all the fifty-six days of the quarantine Ugo La Pietra and Corrado Levi, in a spontaneous and completely autonomous way, worked on notebooks with texts, drawings and sketches, recording their moods, reflections, emotions, landscapes granted by the narrow space of a window or balcony. Ugo La Pietra, between March and May, wrote stories in virus time, stories sometimes combined with a sketch or a drawing. Reflections on the lost habit of staying at home, on the practice of furnishing, on the reappropriation of the city and the domestic space, advice for a new proxemics, stories of days marked by the actions that happen in the houses seen outside the window. The original writings and drawings of Ugo La Pietra, together with that of Corrado Levi, gave life to the exhibition "Diari da casa. Riflessioni dalla quarantena", hosted at the Corraini Gallery in Mantua, on the occasion of Festivaletteratura 2020. The notebooks created by the two artists also become two publications that will be released by Corraini Edizioni on the occasion of the exhibition: Novità in casa di Corrado Levi, Storie di virus by Ugo La Pietra.
