Until 30 June, at the house of Carlo Goldoni in Venice, it visitors can admire the precious collection of eighteenth-century Venetian puppets from the Civic Museum of Industrial Art and Galleria Davia Bargellini of Bologna. For the occasion, 15 marionettes of fine artisanal workmanship, including a female figure that turns into a monster and one example of an animal, join those already present in the Venetian collection, giving life to an exhibition of precious eighteenth-century Venetian pieces. The exhibition offers an opportunity for coming into contact with a tradition that in the eighteenth century enjoyed great success among children and adults, so much so as to have its own professional figures: from set designers to costume designers, from musicians to singers, up to the craftsman who realized the much-loved puppets that performed theatrical entertainments, also by famous authors, such as Carlo Goldoni himself.
An exhibition celebrating the prestigious milestone reached by the Murano glassworks Nason Moretti, which was started in 1923, is underway at the Murano Glass Museum.
