EventsUntil 30 June, at the house of Carlo Goldoni in Venice, it visitors can admire the precious collection of eighteenth-century Venetian puppets from the Civic Museum of Industrial Art and Galleria Davia Bargellini of Bologna. For the occasion, 15 marionettes of fine artisanal workmanship, including a female figure that turns into a monster and one example of an animal, join those already present in the Venetian collection, giving life to an exhibition of precious eighteenth-century Venetian pieces. The exhibition offers an opportunity for coming into contact with a tradition that in the eighteenth century enjoyed great success among children and adults, so much so as to have its own professional figures: from set designers to costume designers, from musicians to singers, up to the craftsman who realized the much-loved puppets that performed theatrical entertainments, also by famous authors, such as Carlo Goldoni himself.
