The exhibition is dedicated to the historical Angeli art print shop, opened in Lucca in 1948, and which began its business with a lithographic press for printing labels. In the 1960s, it worked with artists using the technique of drawing on stone. Art became accessible to a wider but also more attentive and demanding public. The exhibition presents about 60 lithographs made with complex techniques, with progressive color prints, which document the combination of artistic conception and technical manufacture. Manual ability was combined with knowledge of the material and color flexibility obtained by combining different inks. The star-shaped wine press and original instrumentation illustrating the secrets of an ancient art are also on display.
On May 27, 1923, the Salsomaggiore spa complex, designed by Ugo Giusti and decorated by Galileo Chini, whose 150th birth anniversary falls on this day, was inaugurated.
