From Sept. 15 to 17, from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Corsini Garden in Florence, "Crafts and Palace. Artisan workshops and their commissions" will give life, also in this XXIX edition, to a new visual narrative revealing different perspectives of savoir faire through the dialogue of the great protagonists of this 2023: Métiers d'Excellence LVMH, Artex and Starhotels. "With this trio of aces, we want to offer an opportunity to deepen and engage young people on different aspects of high craftsmanship by emphasizing its value and its capacity for innovation. It is a matter of culture before resources: we need vision and knowledge if we want to ensure a future for our Arts and Crafts, in the face of a world confronted with artificial intelligence," say Sabina Corsini, president of the Corsini Garden Association, and Neri Torrigiani, organizer of the exhibition. Also in this edition, Artigianato e Palazzo will present a selection of 100 talented craftsmen for a journey of experience between art and innovation. Among the many initiatives are the awarding of the Perseus Prize to the exhibitor most appreciated by the public and the Giorgiana Corsini Prize for the most beautiful stand which, voted by the Promoting Committee, gives the winner the opportunity of a free space at the future 2024 edition. It also marks the 10-year anniversary of "Blogs&crafts" to bring the creative emergencies of European artistic craftsmanship to Florence: this edition's shortlist includes budding talents in goldsmithing but also papermaking and textile restoration. The Crafts and Palace exhibition is made possible thanks to the support of Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte, Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship, Fondazione CR Firenze, Métiers d'Excellence LVMH, Ad Maiora, Otto per Mille della Chiesa Valdese, Florence Chamber of Commerce, Fondazione Ferragamo and Publiacqua; in collaboration with Artex, World Council Europe, Starhotels, Toscana Promozione and Fornasetti. www.artigianatoepalazzo.it
