A tribute to one of the oldest and most prestigious Italian companies in the field of publishing, famous for bringing together the figure of the publisher and the printer according to the concept of the Renaissance workshop. On the occasion of Pistoia, Italian Capital of Culture 2017, the San Giorgio Library is hosting the exhibition entitled “Alberto Tallone Editore: una storia di cultura e di arte tipografica”(“Alberto Tallone Printing House: a story of culture and typographic art”). Curated by Elisa and Eleonora Tallone, the exhibition presents an array of Tallone editions, some of which are one-of-a-kind, handsomely bound volumes, as well as typography tools from the Atelier Tallone and the Campori Mettel Collection.
On May 27, 1923, the Salsomaggiore spa complex, designed by Ugo Giusti and decorated by Galileo Chini, whose 150th birth anniversary falls on this day, was inaugurated.
