Across Art and Fashion is the new exhibition organized by the Ferragamo Foundation and the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum, running from May 19, 2016 to April 7, 2017. Conceived and curated by Stefania Ricci, Maria Luisa Frisa, Enrica Morini and Alberto Salvadori, the exhibition involves, in addition to the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum, the collaboration of a number of prestigious cultural institutions: Florence’s National Library, Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Pitti’s Modern Art Gallery and Costume Gallery, the Marino Marini Museum and Prato’s Textile Museum. Among the pieces on show are the evening dress designed in the thirties by Elsa Schiaparelli with the collaboration of Salvador Dalí, on loan from the Philadelphia Museum of Art; the dress designed by Yves Saint Laurent and inspired by Piet Mondrian, from the Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent; the triptych by Yasumasa Morimura, La source, from the Takamatsu City Museum of Art; the installation of photographic portraits by Andy Warhol, Altered Images, on loan from Paris’s Studio Makos; and the work Fertility by Keith Haring, from a private collection.
