Rich in pictures and information, this bilingual book explores the research work and works by the Italian designer from the sixties to the present day in the field of applied arts and design. Divided into sixteen chapters (ranging from Synaesthesia of the Arts to Imbalancing System, from Neo-eclecticism to Living Time, from Territorial Design to Museum Merchandising to Didactics), the book describes the fundamental contribution of Ugo La Pietra to the evolution of design and applied arts through projects, works, publishing activity and teaching and through the ongoing exchange between different branches of learning.
