The aristocratic and master ceramic-maker from Palermo Giovanni De Simone stood out among other local artisans for his ability in combining artwork, inspired by artists of the caliber of Picasso, Matisse, Leger and Klee, and the Sicilian pottery tradition. The current owners have been pursuing the workshop founder’s philosophy from the outset: creativity and quality, the use of lead-free materials and colors, all dishwasher-resistant, with a line of clay cookware. The workshop’s signature products are the white clay artifacts, which seem made of the finest china.
