I cocci di Maria Giuliana Collu

In her creations, Giuliana Collu combines the passion for clay and for her homeland, Sardinia, of which, through her works, she describes the history and beauty, by drawing inspiration from archaic symbols, the sea’s colors and the textures of soil and landscapes. Entirely molded by hand by using clays in different shades of colors and enamels, her creations are often irregularly shaped, firstly based on what her instinct tells her and then on meticulous research into geometric figures. A constantly evolving production, made up of one-of-a-kind pieces, which Giuliana often enjoys changing during the execution.
