Ivana and Saura Vignoli started their artistic ceramics workshop in 1976. Shapes and decorations are rooted in Faenza’s rich pottery tradition, but they are also inspired by Mediterranean styles, with special interest in Islamic, Spanish, Moresque, Roman and Byzantine culture. The use of the uncommon blast-fire reduction technique allows them to make the ceramics, which are painted with metallic oxides, sparkle with iridescent highlights, so that every piece is unique.
