Once upon a time there was the then seventeen year-old Lorenzo Borgheresi, who from 1953 used brass, copper and coloured glass to produce the star lantern, the historic and most representative symbol of his work. After this other models were created, including the Veneziane and the Lampioni Fiorentini, or Florentine streetlamps, all in antique style and still in production. The reality of the historic name is pursued by his son Fabrizio and his son-in-law Stefano, embracing tradition in the new premises in Santo Spirito. The method of working is the same as it always was, while enhancing the elements of construction and restoration, all strictly and entirely by hand.
