Fashion in Florence. The birth of the Italian style

The exhibition Fashion in Florence. The birth of Italian style, curated by Erika Ghilardi of Archivio Foto Locchi and by Matteo Parigi Bini of Gruppo Editoriale, tells, through 25 precious shots of the Archivio Foto Locchi arranged in a non-chronological order, magic, beauty and contamination who invaded Florence in the early 50s and made it the capital of Made in Italy. A path in which each photo, in perfect  Foto Locchi style, crystallizes moments of real life, and represents a piece that goes to make up the plot of the birth of Italian fashion. The protagonists, first of all Giovanni Battista Giorgini, father of Made in Italy, but also Florentine and non-Florentine stylists such as Gucci, Emilio Pucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Emilio Schuberth, divas like Audrey Hepburn, Greta Garbo, Maria Callas and noblemen Duke of Windsor, who often went to Florence to shop fashionable clothes and also create new trends. A special story of Florence in which the beauty of the landscape, the artistic, cultural and craft history are the ingredients of extraordinary alchemy. Until April 15 in the exclusive spaces of The Mall Firenze.
