The collaboration between Starhotels and craftsmen for the reopening of Helvetia & Bristol in Florence

When high hospitality meets excellent craftsmanship

Helvetia & Bristol Firenze – Starhotels Collezione has reopened its doors after a major restoration and modernization, a unique and unprecedented operation in the history of the famous luxury hotel chain. The precious collections of objects, furniture and furnishings ranging from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century, have been further enhanced with contemporary accents and creations of high craftsmanship, preserving the original nineteenth-century structure of the building. Elisabetta Fabri, President and CEO of Starhotels, patron and great supporter of Italian masters of art, assisted by the partners of the project La Grande Bellezza, Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte, OMA-Osservatorio dei Mestieri d’Arte and Gruppo Editoriale, has selected some of the best craftsmen of our country: from textiles to interior decoration, from metal to glass, up to wood and scagliola. A project that, also thanks to the collaboration with masters and artisan companies of excellence, has rewritten the history of this icon of Italian hospitality, returning to Florence one of its most refined and prestigious residences, in the heart of the city. The 25 new rooms and suites housed in the “Bristol” wing are the result of the work of renowned designer Anouska Hempel, who realized President Fabri’s desire to give life to an unprecedented, surprisingly fascinating hotel.
