On the occasion of the next edition of the Salone del Mobile, 5-10 September 2021, the Association DcomeDesign will create an exhibition with the participation of designers, artists, artists who want to try their hand at a seemingly trivial theme, that of making a cup. DcomeDesign launches the challenge: to create a cup that becomes a unique piece, a collector’s item, that makes the artists and their projects speak. The call is open to one hundred women with the aim of staging cups made with any technique and material.
SONO TAZZA DI TE! 100 smashing women designer has as its logo a heart symbol of certainty for the return to interpersonal and social relationships; it wants to be a cyclical event, to be repeated every year during the Fuorisalone, but not only: the will is to make it become a traveling event, in progress, where cups come and go and can increase in number as their designers.
The exhibition will be hosted in the historic setting of Marieda di Stefano’s Ceramic Laboratory, at the Boschi di Stefano House Museum.
The works of the smashing women designers, after being displayed in the exhibition, will be donated to the Arché Foundation for its 30 years of activity aimed at vulnerable children and families in the construction of social, housing and working autonomy, offering support services and care, thanks to a visionary intuition of Father Giuseppe Bettoni who is its founder and inspirer.
