Montelupo: Opening of the Bitossi Museum Archives

100 years of Florentine ceramic excellence

The Vittoriano Bitossi Foundation inaugurated the new archives exhibition space at its headquarters in Montelupo. The Archivio Museo Bitossi is the result of the musealization of the industrial archives of Bitossi – Florentine ceramic excellence that this year celebrates the centenary of its history made of artisan research, innovation and collaborations with the great masters of design. The museum – designed by the architect Luca Cipelletti, founder of AR.CH.IT – covers an area of more than 2000 square meters obtained inside the production space and preserves the premises in their original structure, leaving evident the memory of industrial architecture that organizes the exhibition project according to a principle of stratification. The museum is open to the public by appointment from September 6, 2021.
