The XXVII edition of the exhibition will be held from September 16 to 19, at the Giardino Corsini in Florence, with a new selection of master craftsmen and with the aim of presenting and enhancing the figure of the craftsman, his work and his role in the cultural and productive context. Artigianato e Palazzo was born in Florence in 1995, from an idea of Neri Torrigiani and Giorgiana Corsini, with the intent to preserve and promote the high craftsmanship, the value of handmade and attention to detail. The name Artigianato e Palazzo (Craftsmanship and Palace) wants to recall and highlight the strong social relevance of the craftsman, whose workshop once often thrived around the Palace, "showcase" and place of experimentation. This allowed a continuous exchange with the customers of all classes and offered to the craftsman the opportunity to benefit from a direct relationship with the population and the tradition as it was recognized holder of the social aesthetics. For four days, ceramists, silver and goldsmiths, carvers, restorers, luthiers, inlayers of semiprecious stones and wood, designers, and much more, will interact with visitors while they are at work in their small corners of the workshop, reconstructed for the occasion in the lemon houses and among the parterres of the Italian garden.
Kicking off the 7th Edition of the “Artigiano del Cuore” contest, promoted by the Cologni Foundation and the Wellmade platform.
