EventsOn the occasion of Alessio Tasca’s ninetieth birthday, the Museo Civico della Ceramica "Giuseppe De Fabris" in Nove (Province of Vicenza) has organized an exhibition dedicated to the early production of this ceramic artist: the “piatti graffiti” realized between 1948 and 1951 for Tasca Artigiani Ceramisti, a conspicuous production of plates of various sizes painted with an airbrush in monochrome, solid colors and then etched, bearing different subjects taken from 16th- and 17th-century painting, including copies of works by Orazio Gentileschi and Giambattista Pittoni. A technique that is now common, but innovative in the second half of the 20th century, when Tasca decided to approach a material with ancient traditions in a more contemporary way.
