EventsThe MIC- International Museum of Ceramics celebrates 80 years of the International Competition of Contemporary Ceramic Art – Faenza Prize. The competition, among the most important in the world, has been fundamental for leading the public and the art world from the concept of ceramics as an exclusively artisan material to that of its being a worthy material for art sculpture. An event that over time has featured prominent artists of contemporary art such as Lucio Fontana, Carlo Zauli, Angelo Biancini, Eduard Chapallaz and Sueharu Fukami. From 30 June to 7 October the most innovative examples of contemporary art research will be gathered. To celebrate the 60th edition, the Museum is preparing a special event: the 2018 edition will be a Biennial of International Contemporary Ceramics, which will see the most innovative contemporary art researches bought together and exhibited from 30 June to 7 October.
Kicking off the 7th Edition of the “Artigiano del Cuore” contest, promoted by the Cologni Foundation and the Wellmade platform.
