EventsThe exhibition Twentieth-Century Italian Jewelry, curated by jewelry historian Melissa Gabardi and on show until March 20, 2017 at the Poldi Pezzoli Museum in Milan, explores the history of Italian jewelry and its main figures. With over 150 works arranged in chronological order, some of which never shown to the public before, the exhibition pays a tribute to Italian artisan skill. Diadems, bracelets, rings, brooches created by the great names of Italian jewelry design, such as Buccellati, Ravasco, Ascione and Bulgari, are showcased side by side with photographs that document the development of this wonderful art. The Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte Foundation, with the support of the Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels and curated by Lia Lenti, has prepared an educational brochure which illustrates the jewelry-making techniques.
