EventsDuring the Milan Design Week, and until end May 2018, Giacomo Alessi, in collaboration with 5VIE Arte+Design, presents three of his ceramic collections inspired by the land of his birth, Sicily: the Kalembour dinner service, the Acroliths, still-lifes and the iconic anthropomorphic vases that are typical of the production in Caltagirone. These are collector’s items inspired by Mediterranean scrub, by the typical colors, aromas and flavors of Trinacria. This window on the Mediterranean is open in Milan at Corso Magenta 12 until 31 May, in a space for creativity and production, a crossroads of culture and artistic experimentation. This Mediterranean Inventory instills new vigor in the tradition, bringing the culture and historical memory of an ancient territory such as Sicily into our time. The result is a captivating dialogue between design, art and manual expertise.
