Annamode is a costume maker for cinema and theater that for 70 years has embodied the Hamlet-style dualism between costume and couture. The shop was opened in the mid-1900s by Anna and Teresa Allegri, two young sisters whose creations—thought out to the smallest detail—soon enchanted the well-dressed ladies of Rome and the costume designers of Italian cinema. Today, Annamode dresses are still lovingly stitched together to anticipate the trends and flavors of the times. They span the worlds of high fashion, entertainment, cinema and theater and have devoted celebrity fans including Sophia Loren, Gina Lollobrigida, Maria Grazia Cucinotta and Scarlett Johansson.
