Pitti Mosaici

Pitti Mosaici was started by Ilio de Filippis who, after having trained at his father’s marble workshop in Venafro, near Isernia, opened his own place in Florence in the early eighties. Ilio is one of the few remaining artisans who still practices the age-old Florentine art of semi-precious stone mosaic-making. Over the years, many young artisans have trained with him, including his children, who now create one-of-a-kind artifacts, very popular with art and luxury lovers from all over the world, at the workshop located in Sdrucciolo de’ Pitti.  The workshop collaborates also with architects and interior designers who work across the world.

Mosaic masters specialised in these techniques make jewellery and ornaments, […]
