The charm of the Renaissance art of Florence pervades all the creations of master goldsmith Paolo Penko, who, in his shop a few steps from the Duomo, together with his wife Beatrice, an expert in gemmology, creates unique jewellery, completely by hand, using the traditional ancient Florentine goldsmith techniques. Penko’s jewellery and silverware are reminiscent of the jewels depicted in Florentine paintings and elements of architecture. Ancient techniques such as fretwork, engraving, chasing, niello inlaying, damascening and cesoro come to life in his hands, not only in the production of jewellery, but also in medals, silver items and sculptures.
